Return and Refund Policy

Feathered Acres Heritage Poultry – Return & Refund Policy

At Feathered Acres Heritage Poultry, we take great care in collecting, selecting and packaging our fertile hatching eggs.

Fertile Hatching Eggs

Fertile eggs are a biological and perishable product. Because of this, we are unable to accept physical returns of fertile hatching eggs.

Our breeding pens are regularly fertility-tested, and eggs are only offered for sale when we are satisfied with the fertility of the breeding pen at the time of collection.

However, once fertile eggs leave our property, many factors outside our control can affect their development and hatchability, including:

  • postal handling and vibration
  • temperature fluctuations during transport
  • damaged or detached air cells
  • storage conditions
  • incubator temperature and calibration
  • humidity
  • turning
  • power interruptions
  • individual incubation practices.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee a particular hatch rate on posted fertile eggs.

Any fertility percentage provided by Feathered Acres Heritage Poultry reflects fertility testing conducted under our own incubation conditions and is not a guaranteed hatch percentage for eggs incubated elsewhere.

Damaged Parcels

We carefully package fertile eggs in protective egg shipping cartons and send posted orders using Australia Post.

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph:

  • the outside of the parcel
  • the packaging
  • any damaged eggs

and contact us as soon as possible after delivery.

Please do not dispose of damaged packaging until the matter has been discussed, as Australia Post may require evidence for a claim.

Change of Mind

Because eggs are collected and allocated specifically for each customer's order and posting date, we do not generally offer refunds or cancellations for change of mind once collection for your order has commenced.

If you need to make a change to an upcoming booking, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to assist.

Breeding Availability

Poultry are livestock and laying rates can change unexpectedly.

If we are unable to fulfil your order on the agreed date due to reduced laying, fertility concerns, breeder health or another circumstance affecting our birds, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date or other suitable resolution.
